Over 200 people gathered on July 26, 2009 for the First Annual Community Wide 100 Mile Potluck in Louisville,Kentucky.  The event was hosted by the Bardstown Road Farmers' Market, The Eco Stewardship Committee of Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church , and Deer Park Baptist Church.

Everyone seemed to have a great time and were eager to try as many of the dishes as they could.

We were one of several such potluck held around the state on this date...all in support of local food production and learning how to cook with locally grown ingredients

The admission for the event was a food dish prepared with at least one ingredient purchase from local farmers, or grown in your own garden.

In addition to the dish, attendees  asked to bring a copy of the recipe indicating where you purchased the ingredients.

We received over 100 recipes and are putting them on 100Milepotluck.blogspot.com

The table was laden with lots of delicious dishes
